Katikati Naturist Park,New Zealand, clothing free recreation

The following is why Katikati Naturist Park is the ideal place for your first naturist experience, or if you are already a convinced naturist why you should take your next naturist break with us.

Katikati Naturist Park is a proprietor-owned and managed naturist holiday park with many recreational facilities. There is a range of accommodation options; tent and caravan sites, on-site caravans, kitchen cabins, self-contained chalets, and a high quality motel unit. You are welcome to come just for the day, or to stay for many nights. There is no joining procedure or membership fee. Your only commitment is to enjoy yourself.

Katikati Naturist Park offers you the freedom to go without clothes in a beautiful natural setting. Situated alongside a clean river with tall sheltering trees and plantings of native and exotic flowering plants and shrubs, the Park is both quiet and private. It is a naturist haven in the true meaning of the term. You can be at one with yourself whether it is just relaxing and enjoying the pleasure of the air on your skin, or being more energetic, using the recreation facilities available. You are expected to go clothes-free whenever the weather is suitable.

The proprietors have the right to refuse entry to any person they consider undesirable. Thus guests can be assured that their visit will not be marred by unwelcome attention. Unlike nudist beaches or clothes-optional resorts, there is no need to feel that some people are there simply to observe nudity. A number of unaccompanied women guests have commented to us about how safe and secure they feel at KNP. We are affiliated to the New Zealand Naturist Federation and Holiday Accommodation Parks of New Zealand

Take yourself on a risk free adventure. By going free of clothes with other like minded people in a secure environment you have nothing to lose and all the following to gain.

* A great sense of freedom, relaxation, and mental refreshment.
* The wonderful feeling of swimming without a clinging costume and having the air moving over all your skin.
* Losing society's unhealthy pretensions and obsessions about the human body - there are only two models and we all know what they look like.
* Learn to accept your body as it is and realise that you can lead a happy life without having the 'ideal' body as portrayed in the glossy magazines. This is one of the reasons women particularly like naturism - they learn that most other women's bodies are similar to theirs. There is an amazing variety of human body shapes.
* Be accepted for yourself regardless of your age, size, shape, scars, whatever.

Until you try naturism you won't know what a great thing you have been missing. The wife of one of our guests told him before coming to Katikati Naturist Park; "I will come with you but I am definitely not undressing". Two hours later, relaxing naked in a spa she said; " I wish I had done this years ago."

Nothing is more natural than being naked in the outdoors. Katikati Naturist Park provides a safe secure environment for you to try it for yourself, whether you are 15, 25, or 75 years old.

Millions of people throughout the world have adopted the naturist approach to the human body. This is proof that naturism offers many benefits to all the people who open their minds and try something that is so different to how society as a whole acts. That so many people can go naked socially without trauma individually or to society as a whole, shows that simple public nakedness is an innocent pleasure, although much misunderstood. The following common questions are those which we have been asked many times by non-naturist friends and people enquiring about KNP.

The sheer joy of diving into water without a clinging costume has to be experienced to be understood. Have you tried it? Having the wind blow across all your body is a sensuous feeling. The sense of freedom when you remove the entrapments of 'civilization' is fantastic. It is simply more comfortable to be free of clothing. Once people shed their clothes they regard each other more as equal individuals and pay little heed to status symbols. People are accepted as themselves and this is a truly relaxing thing. It is known by all New Zealand naturists that they lead a much healthier life, physically and mentally, because of their naturist life. Being naked is fun

Naturists know that once patches of cloth no longer focus attention on that which is hidden all parts of the body blend together forming the perception of a whole person. Tabooed parts lose their stigma and each whole body is accepted for what it is ....a miraculous gift of life. Being naked with other people shows a sense of mutual trust and openness not usually experienced with current 'textile' cultural barriers. Few people have been learnt to actually like the complete body in which they live. Women are particularly pressured to conform to fashionable standards. So once they realise that most other women have similar body 'imperfections' women are often much more receptive of naturism than men
